COVID - 19 Update
We at Pocono Peak Veterinary Center would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for working with us as we try to navigate these challenging and unpredictable times due to the Covid 19 pandemic. We are planning a gradual return to regular services and following are protocols we have established to protect our staff as well as our clients. We will be restricting access to the building with the following guidelines.
Those of you bringing your pets for an exam by the doctor, please call 570.421.0931 to check in with the receptionist. You will then be asked to wait in your vehicle until you are called to come inside for your appointment. We will be restricting access to the building by allowing only one family member in per visit.
Following CDC guidelines anyone entering the building will be required to:
-Wear a properly fitted cloth face covering the entire time you are in the building.
-Remain in the exam room until your visit is completed and you are directed to return to your car
-Observe social distancing by maintaining six feet from all staff members and clients.
-Do not approach the reception desk, all transactions will take place in the exam room or by phone.
All other services, such as nursing visits, medication and food refills will remain curbside. We request two hours to prepare food or prescriptions for pickup. We will take payment over the phone when ordered. Call when you arrive, and we will deliver medication to the car or call back to direct you on how to proceed.
A reminder that we do have our own online pharmacy, where you can purchase food and medication and have them shipped directly to your home. It takes about a week to receive orders placed on our online store, so please plan ahead whenever possible.
If you have recently traveled out of the country for any reason, or flown on a plane within the US, please try to make any non-critical appointments 3 weeks out from your return.
*If you are feeling sick or running a fever, please do not come to our office and see your regular physician and/or follow CDC guidelines.
We are restricting access to the building therefor the Lobby area will not be available. We will do our best to continue to offer you and your pets the quality care we take pride in providing. The above guidelines should help to minimize risk to all and allow us to continue to care for our patients.
We take the health or your pets, as well as your health, and our health very seriously. We will get through this pandemic and come out stronger and healthier!
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
